Bearwood Chapel Worship Team leads the worship on a Sunday morning at 0930 and 1115 services at the Chapel.
We are made up of talented musicians of all ages, including pianists, guitarists, bass guitar, trumpet player, keyboardist and singers, with drummers and flautists, cellists and others making cameo appearances. We're on the look out for more drummers, singers and electric guitar players, and any good acoustic players that can be committed to playing twice a month in our worship services.
We play music from across the centuries, with more modern songs increasingly forming the basis of our worship each Sunday. Popular favourites include King of Kings (Majesty), Blessed be your Name, In Christ Alone, From the Highest of Heights, and The Lord's My Shepherd.
Different coordinators drawn from mainly outside the group help to pick up to seven songs each week. These form the structure of Sunday morning worship, which includes prayer times, readings, a 30-40 minute talk and communion each week. Many weeks also contain testimonies, and special Sundays have focused on particular issues with video, drama and music being integral to presentations.
Music practices are either on Monday or Saturday evenings, with a practice from 9.15am each Sunday before the service. The team is led by Jonathan and Julian, with backup administrational support from Dagmar.
