Act Bc

ActBC is a commitment to encourage church planting, replanting and revitalisation across the Black Country, Sandwell and West Birmingham. We particularly want to see urban inner cities and estates reached with the Gospel.

There are three strands to this.

PlantBC

We are seeking to ensure that wherever, and whenever people want to gather around God's Word for worship, prayer and teaching that the opportunity exists to do so. Planting may include

a. Beginning new congregations at different times but sharing the same building.

b. Planting new churches in communities where there currently isn't an active Gospel witness.

c. Supporting pioneer planters who start from scratch and grow a Gospel community.

d. Helping struggling churches with revitalisation.

LoveBC

There are three reasons for this strand. First of all because loving others is simple a natural consequence of the love we have received. Secondly, because of this, we want to see churches planted that engsge with their communities. Thirdly, through love in action, we discover opportunities to show love by sharing the good news which is our prime priority.

We love by

a. Running ESOL classes

b. Offering practical help such as emergency food parcels.

c. Providing advocacy for asylum seekers, benefit claimants etc.

d. Creating safe havens within our communities

d, Participating in the life of our communitiess  e.g thrpugh festivals and celebrations

TrainBC

We are helping equip people for Gospel work as elders, pastors, youth amd children's workers, womens workers  and missionaries. Our priority is to train planters for urban contexts and we have a vision to see workers raised up from within urban communities. Training includes:

a. Faithroots training resources avalailable on line from this site

b. Faithroots workshops run quarterly through the year.

c.  Internships

d. We are seeking to develop an urban vocational training programme.
